The new definition of “tacky”

To the young Ms. Hirschfield who claims “for most [people who send invitations] it’s about the beauty, not holding a piece of paper in your hand:”

An email does not beauty make.

Ever try to pin a cyber-tation to your bulletin board for the memories?

Actually, one can do “both”… send a nice email and snail-mail a beautiful card. Redundant? Yes, but some may appreciate that.
…”Both” borrowed from Pooh Bear in the Winnie the Pooh stories.

And, if you’re sending a card, try to pick out an interesting appropriate postage stamp. :)

You couldn’t be more wrong Ms. Hirschfeld. Design, especially when it comes to invitations is all about what you’re holding in your hand. Many things may be replicated on the web; the act of experiencing a beautiful invitation that was sent directly to you, as opposed to in an e-mail blast, is not one of them.
