The 3/50 Project welcomes MC Services

in The 3/50 Project

When the search for someone to rebuild The 3/50 Project database began, so did the nightmares. Determined to stick with an independent brick and mortar, I started in Minnesota, quickly learning the only folks here who built on our required platform were home based businesses, a retailer I swore never to do business with again, and one particularly awful guy who researched me first, saw the logo of our past sponsor, then based his numbers on the assumption we had unlimited funds (which we all know wasn’t the case). Pretty eye-popping stuff.

That’s when the hunt expanded to Wisconsin…then ended in Wisconsin, thanks to the generosity of Duane Maas, owner of MC Services (a locally owned, independent brick and mortar merchant, hooray!).

From their website:

MC Services is a full-service technology-consulting firm. We provide a wide range of technical support services, including: Apple, FileMaker, and Windows consulting, desktop and server support, network consulting, database and business system design, website design and programming, backup and preventative solutions, as well as other speciality services such as elearning and logistics. We also specialize in Macintosh-Windows integration and are certified in Apple, Microsoft, FileMaker, and Cisco technologies.

In my words? MC Services is a group of rock stars with heart.

Not only does Duane completely “get” what The 3/50 Project is all about, but he believes in it, and is the kind of guy to make that belief count. Aware that our funding was tight, we agreed to a dollar amount both of us could live with, representing a significant contribution of man hours on his part. When the final total far exceeded that amount, the contribution increased out of necessity…

…which is why I offered to change the status of MC Services from “vendor” to “Official Sponsor,” adding their logo to the bottom of every page on our website (plus an intro on the FAQ page). Given the value of what Duane and his employees have contributed to the Project, they’ve earned the title, big time.

And lemme tell you, MC Services knocked the ball out of the park. Justin handled the complicated email update waves back in May and June; Nick has been the go-to-guy since, building out our fabulous new database (each always ready with a smile and terrific sense of humor), staying true to my original anal-retentive specs. This is a company with team spirit, a team approach, and a sincere determination to make the customer happy. Which they do.

Duane and the guys not only brought us into the next phase of the Project’s growth, but gave us the ability to move forward with our free iOS app, LookLocal. For that we are, and will remain, eternally grateful.

Rock stars, all….

MC Services sure rocks! I mean, they have the best people that can work on Apple, FileMaker, even in networking. There’s really nothing more you can ask for.
