Please note: As of summer 2011, neither I nor The 3/50 Project support SBS. For an explanation, please see this. If I’d known then what I know now….
6:15 a.m. – Arrive at Murray Hill Studios in New York for hair and makeup
7:10 a.m. – First interview, this one on radio program “The Adams Report”
1:30 p.m. – Wrap the final taped interview, this one for American Express
Twenty-two television and radio interviews total, to be aired both here and abroad. From talk shows to live news segments to overseas reporting, Small Business Saturday and The 3/50 Project were front and center with a whole lot o’ new folks yesterday. As segments appear online, I’ll share them here.
Enormous thanks to everyone on the crew, including Melissa, Producer Extraordinaire…to the folks from AmEx and M Booth, who make all things possible…to Angela Valentine who makes everyone glamorous…and to Jonathon, who spent six hours sitting next to a camera, keeping me company through it all. You guys made the day fun, and then some.
After the SMT, a few of us went to lunch, sitting close to a table where a woman was reading The Wall Street Journal, a full page ad on the back announcing Small Business Saturday. Sweet.
If you haven’t yet, be sure to visit The350Project.net for info about both Small Business Saturday (focused on November 27, the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend) and “Big Things come from Small Boxes,” our exclusive promotion that runs through the remainder of the holiday season. We need to reach every consumer out there. Let’s GO!
(P.S. Why does YouTube always freeze the frame showing the weirdest mid-expression facial shot in the entire video? Sheesh.)
