Big thanks to Susan Shehata and Colleen Bukman from “Raising the Consciousness” on AM 950 for giving The 3/50 Project such terrific visibility over the weekend. You made the process of being on the air loads of fun.
To hear the interview, visit the show’s website, then scroll down to the link for the archived recording. The run time is one hour, but if you fast forward to the 30 minute point, you’ll find the start of the segment, just after the promo for Winter Moon, Summer Sun Adventure Retreat Lodge.
One of the upsides to a really successful viral campaign is that everyone wants to jump on board and share the love. That’s great, and is the very root of what makes The 3/50 Project tick.
The downside is that, sometimes, the enthusiasm outpaces the process. And believe me, with TM and copyright protected material, there’s process.
Vendors, please know how much I appreciate your desire to help spread the word by way of creative promotions. You have the ears of a lot of great business owners, and your support is welcome. That said, if you want to use The 3/50 Project name in the promotion, you need to get permission first, in writing, since that’s a licensing issue. [click here to continue…]
Sorry about the site going dark for a while this afternoon. The host company had “a server emergency” that took alwaysupward.com, the blog, and all our email accounts offline while the DNS propagated to the backup server (geek speak equivalent of “the water heater broke and it took a little while for the new one to warm up”).
Looks like things are functional again…or at least the server is. My heart, on the other hand, might be in question, since the thing keeled over less than two hours after a press release went out about our swanky new numbers (see previous post). Thankfully, The 3/50 Project website propagated quickly, so no blackout there.
Now…back to jump starting my pulse….

Toot on those trumpets, and bang on those drums, folks. It’s time for a little celebration-—on our two month anniversary, no less.
Late last week, supporter number 5,000 registered on The 3/50 Project website, meeting a goal I thought we’d be talking about six months from now. To make things even sweeter, our Facebook page logged fan number 7,000 just hours before I took the podium at the Waconia Chamber of Commerce luncheon right here in Minnesota on Thursday. (As of today, Facebook has topped 7,500.)
I feel like that mom with the “My child’s on the Honor Roll” bumper sticker (sans minivan, sans…well…child).
Congrats to all of you out there who jumped on board. This hub is very, very proud of you spokes. Big time.
