microphoneHeads up to those of you who frequently inquire about whether or not I’m headed to your neck of the woods: I just posted a handful of 2010 dates, stretching from Georgia to Seattle, on The 3/50 Project Facebook page (under the Events tab).

As a taste of what’s found there:

  • LaGrange, Georgia
  • Houston, Texas
  • Louisville, Kentucky
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Seattle, Washington

There have been lots of “Come to my town!” requests on Facebook, from both consumers and business owners. To bring me in, please have a sponsoring organization contact me via The 3/50 Project website. I’m happy to piggy back dates when feasible (ex: three cites in four days kind of thing), so no need to be shy about asking.

*Note: Not all events are open to the general public. Please check the Events tab for specific information.

I’m a small art studio that creates one-of-kind ceramic ware. I have a studio were my wife and I have worked as a team for nearly 20yrs making and designing pottery. We have a retail gallery in our studio now and have been working hard to create a customer base. We normally travel and do fine art shows but have been putting more effort into selling out of our gallery. We also do a small % of wholesale to other smaller galleries. Would we be a good fit to join the 3/50 Project? Please advise. I appreciate your time.

Editor’s Note: Sure! Just visit the site, click the Jump In tab, then register using the “Other Supporters” link (since you sell both retail and wholesale). The more of us out here spreading the word, the better for everyone!

Hello Cinda,

I’m a great supporter. I think I became more interested when I became a mother. I have been forwarding this info and emailed one of our active chamber members. She said it was a great idea. How will it impact? Dont know yet but because we are so close to the border our South Texas always gets new shoppers. They love the big chains and so do our locals. Would be nice if you would visit South Texas.

Thanks!
Martha

Editor’s note: Please let the Chamber know I offer a special reduced speaking fee for them. Would love to come your way to spread this small business lovefest around!

I am a member of a local merchants association in small town Ohio. Several of us have joined your program. We added your 3/50 points to the center page of the bi-annual advertising brochure. Many customers have commented on keeping their $$ local. It is presented right next to a “Wish list” that can be filled out while shopping and handed over to a loved one for shopping tips.
