Just a quick note to thank the fine folks of Darien, Connecticut for a warm welcome while I was there to speak about The 3/50 Project. At dinner afterward, a number of business owners and community leaders shared their thoughts and experiences about today’s marketplace and the direction our economy is headed. As a whole, we agreed that the worst is behind us, but only those willing to buckle down and get creative will come through this in flying colors.
A special thank you goes to David Genovese of Baywater Properties, the benefactor behind this particular engagement. As the owner of multiple commercial properties in town, he recognizes that all the dots connect–not only the ones who pay him rent. If storefronts begin to go dark or suddenly convert to nothing but national chains, the amount of revenue available to the city of Darien will shrink exponentially, impacting everyone who sits around his dinner table at home. That kind of personal commitment to doing something that can help everyone is to be commended, highly.
Thanks for all you do, David. You’re a hero in my book.

Thanks Cinda, Dave and the Darien Chamber. I came as Executive Director of the Ridgefield Chamber and loved what I heard and saw. Thanks. I had recently been doing shop Ridgefield campaigns and will advocate your program in the next newsletter.
Thanks!
