flipnoteAnd the winner is….

Candace Carr, of Carr Gardens in Blue Island, Illinois!

All entries mentioning The 3/50 Project on FlipNoteFan.com were tossed in a hat, then one randomly chosen as the recipient of a new Flip Note with our member badge engraved on the front. After selecting the winner, I went back and read her comment. Looks like we hit a grand slam, since she extolls the virtue of both the Project and Flip Notes. Sweet.

Thanks to Flip Note Fan for donating this seriously cool prize.

Flip Notes are a product of Wellspring. If you haven’t checked them out, do.
Color of winning Flip Note may not be as shown in photo above.

3-50-project-logo_500px2That’s right. Thanks to the extraordinary magic of Gregg Marshall-—tech genius, brainiac, and friend (@greggmarshall to those of you on Twitter)-—the first 1,600 businesses who registered with The 3/50 Project are now up on the Supporters page of the website. If not for his patience, endurance, and out-of-the-box thinking, we wouldn’t be this far down the path twelve lane super highway quite yet.

Well folks, we’re on a roll. Major thanks to Four Star Drug in Lincoln, Nebraksa (my old stomping grounds, no less) for bringing The 3/50 Project to the attention of their local ABC affiliate. Terrific piece, top of the hour, complete with lots of heartfelt feedback from consumers.

Great job, Four Star!

real_card_studioHey there folks-—Heather van Breda, owner of Real Card Studio just upped the ante for vendors supporting The 3/50 Project with a verrrrry clever promotion on her blog:

So here’s the giveaway: Reply with the name of three local independent businesses you’re going to support this month. On April 30, 2009 I’ll choose from random 1 person for every 25 unique respondents (maximum of 10 prizes), and send you a free 3/50 Project shopping tote!

Think that’s tasty enough? Ah, but it’s not. Our quick-thinking letterpress maven added another layer to the contest: [click here to continue…]
