The downside to being in the WSJ

wsj_reprint_rates_narrowFor as excited as I was yesterday about The 3/50 Project appearing in the Wall Street Journal, today I’m feeling a bit deflated. Sadly, our website address was omitted from the piece, which I immediately contacted the editor about first thing in the morning. He assured me he was “working on it,” but nothing happened. No link.

And today, no article. At least not unless you’re a paid subscriber for the online edition.

Solution? Put a copy on our server, then link to it? Nope. At least not unless I pay a hefty fee (read: nearly $2,000+) for a link to their servers that expires in one year.

To those of you who saw the piece yesterday, then sent notes of congratulations, thank you! It was quite a 24 hour run.

To everyone else, I’m sorry…. This bums me out more than you can imagine.

Cinda- That is a shame. I felt bad about the comment the gentleman from TX made in the comments about the representative businesses and the “silly” picture. My business is very important to me and it certainly isn’t necessary to slam someone with respect to their dream. I pushed the 3/50 Project through the entire interview and wish it had been more about Project and the positive aspects. I truly believe it is saving my business. I linked the article from my site from right below the 3/50 link. Again, I am sorry. I did my best.

Editor’s note: Ginger, no apologies necessary! You did us proud, in a big way, and provided a terrific example of how The 3/50 Project can have a positive impact. As for the photo, I certainly have no issues with someone beaming happily, proud of their business….
